My father once told me, “People look, but they don’t see.” I understand now that he was talking about more than just the colour of his tie.

He also taught me that if you put salt on a bird’s tail, it won’t fly away, so that you can catch it. I now understand that to mean, “If you can get close enough to a bird to put salt on it’s tail, you can catch it.”

Perspective is, indeed, important.

It is time for us all to grow up.
